Building Connections Across Cultures
Connecting tomorrowโs global business leaders.
The International Business & Economics Club (IBEC) connects globally minded students with the people, knowledge, and opportunities needed to explore international careers.
Through networking events, workshops, and career development programming, IBEC bridges the gap between classroom learning and the realities of global business.
Our meetings are on Thursdays at 6-7PM in Lillis 132! They are open to all UO students - free of charge, no applications, open to all majors! Come by and see if you enjoy what we offer!

Our Events
Weekly Club Meetings
Our weekly meetings are the foundation of the IBEC experience. Each week brings something different, from guest speakers and professional workshops to club collaborations and member presentations.
Whether you are building practical business skills or expanding your global perspective, every meeting is designed to help you grow with confidence and leave more prepared than when you arrived.
Socials
IBEC is not just about professional growth. It is about community. Our socials range from board games and business challenges to cards, video games, outdoor sports, and casual outings for food or ice cream.
These events give members the chance to build real friendships and a strong support system within the Lundquist community.
Site Visits
Our site visits bring business to life. IBEC travels to cities like Portland, Seattle, San Francisco, and Los Angeles to visit companies and connect directly with professionals across industries.
Members gain firsthand insight into different roles, company cultures, and career paths while expanding their professional network.
Annual Keynote Event: The Black Tie Dinner
The Black Tie Dinner is IBECโs signature annual event. Each year, members vote on a country theme, shaping a formal evening that celebrates global culture through performances, cuisine, and keynote speakers.
Students, professionals, faculty, and business leaders gather for a night of networking and inspiration that reflects IBECโs global mission.
